(2020 c100) Thanks – Thanksgiving Letterpress
Once again I had fun following Jennifer McGuire’s Die Cut Letterpress Technique video to create the background. I created the DIY Letterpress by cutting 3 pieces of heavy cardstock with Kat Scrappiness – Peacock Teardrop Background Cover Die. Instead of the vellum step I covered the top with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with a cheaper brand of clear embossing powder. (this holds up better for me than the velum covering)
I used this DIY Peacock Letterpress to stamp with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Ranger Embossing Powder . THANKS was colored with Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger and mounted on Vellum. It was diecut with an older set that is no longer available from Concord and 9th but they have lots of other stamps and dies. The sentiment HAPPY THANKSGIVING on the inside is an old Studio 112 stamp.
