(2015 c44) Unity KOM Spread your Wings
For this card I started by stamping the reading lady from Unity Stamp Co. from KOTM May 2015 Spread Your Wings. and painted her with Artist Loft Pearlescent watercolors found at Michaels. I masked her and then stamped the Dream Text by Stampendous on watercolor paper, then I brushed watered down white gesso to tone down the text.
Next I inked the background with Tim Holtz Distress inks: Fossilized Amber (Using Tim Holtz Dot Fade Layering Stencil and Rays Layering Stencil) and then randomly sponged
Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass to fill in the background. The Rays stencil was used again with a little Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold EP. Then I used a palette knife to emboss Cherry Blossoms Stencil by The Crafters Workshop with Gold Medallic Creative Medium by Imagine Crafts. I added a little pink flock to the blossoms before the medium dried. The large sentiment is a die cut by My Craft Spot called Big Words (sorry I just learned they are closing) and the small sentiment from Unity Stamp Co. from KOTM May 2015 Spread Your Wings was stamped on vellum and heat embossed with black EP. This is for a young woman who is going off to college this year and I used the Dream die by Tim Holtz on the inside as seen on the left.
