(2020 c054) Alcohol Ink Flower

This big  Mother’s Day card is for one of my lovely daughter-in-laws.  I created the background for the flower with Yupo “Medium” Paper by Legion from Hobby Lobby and Black, Pearl & Pink Pinata Alcohol Ink.  After drying, the heavier inked areas were still sticky due to the Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Blending Solution so I rubbed Silver Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Foil over the surface & it grabbed the foil in places.

The frame was created with Pink Fresh Gatsby Die Set and then cut apart and re-assembled to create the rectangle frame with a diamond in the center  (I will use the left over pieces to create something entirely different soon)   to frame the flower that was stamped with Build-A-Flower Larkspur by ALTENEW.   I used Versamark Ink  & Silver Ranger Embossing Powder.  See close-up below:

For the background I dry embossed the Gatsby die around the left and top sides.    That got a little FUNKY and cracked in places, so I applied Black Soot Distress Inks by Ranger to age those cracks.  The sentiment  from  was heat embossed with Painted Greetings by ALTENEW with Black.
