(2020 c092) Fall Thinking of you

I had fun following Jennifer McGuire’s Die Cut Letterpress Technique video to create the background. This second attempt went a little Off the Path, but I like it & will probably even do it this way again sometime. I may have to call it Letter Depress instead of Letter Press???? Ha ha.

As you can see in the photo above I used  Kat Scrappiness – Peacock Teardrop Background Cover Die and glued 2 heavy cardstocks together. Then came my delima, this die has so many tiny holes that it would have been hard to cut the vellum cover and then apply my spray adhesive and actually line it up on the cardstock properly. So this time I gave up Jennifer’s inking on the sandwich & them impressing. Instead I glued the sandwich to the back of a bit larger piece of white cardstock and then ran through my machine to dry emboss. Then taped off the embossed portion and carefully & lightly applied by swiping these Minis direct to paper Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet & Dusty Concord Distress Inks by Ranger. I removed the tape & had an instant frame. The fall leaves were created by “moping up” distress inks from my craft mat after they were spritzed with water the cut out with  Lawn Fawn:  Stitched Leaves. The sentiment Is Lawn Fawn called Thinking about You Border sentiment. I wrapped a strip of vellum before applying leaves & sentiment.
