(2020 c047) Hero Arts CB, DOx Tag
Supplies used: Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger , Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Blue & Gold Ranger Embossing Powder, Prayers by Simon Says Stamp & Hero Arts , Hero Florals Magnolias CM261 , Love Stamp & Cut by Hero Arts , Hero Arts CG770 Deco Flourish Bold Prints, Color Burst by Ken Oliver, Distress Stain Daubers by Tim Holtz , Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger , Krylon Workable Fixative Spray. In photo below you can see that I used a leftover piece of watercolor paper that had been colored with Color Burst Powders and stamped my magnolia & heat embossed with Gold EP. Next I sprayed with Workable Fixative so that the color burst background wouldn’t disappear with added layers of color. Then I used Distress Stains to color the inside edges of the petals with the Seedless Preserves using a paintbrush. I used a mixture of the greens & blue to paint the leaves. Looking back at the finished flower on the tag, you can see that I added more watered down stain to the rest of the petals to give a more cohesive look, but you can still see the Color Burst background showing through. I drew around the outside of the magnolia die and fussy cut a frame from royal blue cardstock.
