(2020 c043) Lawn Fawn Magic Slider Modified due to my BOOBOO

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the card I made after the big OOPS in my first attempt in making the card from yesterday’s post seen HERESo I improvised to save the heavy card base and birdie background. I followed the Lawn Fawn Magic Color Slider procedure, but instead of using the dies I created a card size channel for my slider portion and cut that bigger also so I could make the slider come out of the folded edge which was on the wrong side when I placed my birdies upside down on the card base.  Now this slider will be A2 sized and I’ll just write my message on the back of it and not mount on another cardbase.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Look at the transparency above on the right, it was made following Jennifer McGuire’s tutorial called Embellished Windows Technique (using a heat laminator)I sandwiched a fine blue glitter between 2 Hot Laminating panels and ran through my Heat Laminater.  This creates a see through and stable transparency, and I cut it large enough to go to the edges of the front to give further stability. Then I stamped Happy Birthday from Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words Lawn Cuts Dies LF1172  with Jet Black Stazon Ink , and also stamped the birdies with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with clear on card face and Sea Glass blue on the pull out.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

For the big flowers I used hearts from Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie  (the tiny flowers are too),  The centers for the hearts flowers and the orange flowers were layered snowflakes from Winter Skies LF1763 from Lawn Fawn, the grass and the owls were from Lawn Fawn Mom and Me .  Branch is from Hero Arts: CL866 Color Layering Bird and Branch .

So glad I could salvage my BOOOBOOO from yesterday’s post!

Great save and pretty card. Lovely scene.

  2. Great that you solved the problem – and a lovely slider card. I really like the gleam of light on the embossed chicks around the border, and the image revealed when you slide is charming. Hope you’re doing okay. Stay safe.
