(2019 c95) My Favorite Things Mandala on Kraft
Today’s card took a few twists and turns in the road to completion. (Even a bump and big ole POT HOLE) More on that later.
Products used: Misti, Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger, My Favorite Things: Mesmerizing Mandala Background , My Favorite Things Die-Namics Mesmerizing Mandalas , Versamark Ink, Clear Ranger Embossing Powder , Painted Greetings stamp set by Altenew, for the banner: Hero Arts DC184 Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut.
Road 1: I started by stamping & heat embossing the mandala directly on the front of my Kraft card base with clear EP and Used my brand new Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes (Happy Dance) Pretty smooth road except I wasn’t real happy about how my blending was outside the embossed edges because I did not use a mask. Soooo
DETOUR>>>>> Road 2: I fussy cut out the mandala and adhered it to the front of another Kraft card base. Humm it needed something so I drew around the edges with my new FAVORITE embossing pen Ranger Letter It Medium Pen Set 1 LDI58793 (I used the one with brush tip) and heat embossed with clear to create a frame. Now things are running smoothly and I cut, colored the mandala die cut with Distress Oxide Inks using the TE Brushes & heat embossed with clear EP.
Road 3: Next I cut my word die apart so I could bend it in my Misti to match the curve of the HA Banner I had cut out. Then I attached it on top of a colored Vellum band. Well look at the picture below, the first attempt at stamping was weird! At first I couldn’t figure out what was WRONG with Happy…….well it seems I put it in the stamp upside down and backwards! SOOOOO
Road 4: I Correct my Happy placement in Misti & do it again….. Walla finally ARRIVED AT THE FINAL DESTIATION! Here’s another photo below without the flash, this helped with the embossing glare!
