(2019 c85) Hero Arts Magnolia Shaker

I took my inspiration for the watercolorig from Kristina Werner’s Watercolored Gems Card.  My variation was to use big flowers and watercolor in variations of blue for the background, keepimg the space around the flowers dark.(2019 c85) HA Magnolia Shaker 2.jpg (This style is a little Out of The Ordinary for me)  I used Hero Florals Magnolias CM261 and heat embossed with silver.  I cut a Magnolia shape out of the middle and also out of a white pearl cardstock for the band and heat embossed the edges.  I painted another  flower in greens to place behind to create a shaker. The vellum sentiment flag was created with Hero Arts DC184 Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut.  The sentiment Blessings was cut with Blessings stamp & Cut set by Hero Arts

  1. Verna Angerhofer

Beautiful card design with the magnolia images and embossing.

  2. This is so beautiful, Lagene! I really love the colors and oh, that silver embossing takes my breath away! Wow!

  3. Barbara Campbell

This was a tough challenge for me but I see that you aced it. Very clever to cut out the center flower and use it as the focal image on your card.

  4. This is STUNNING! I love the embossing and the colors and great sequin center! Thank you for participating in our challenge & we hope you will join us again in the next one.
