(2019 c71) Tim Holtz Bookmark

These are pictures of the finished bookmark. The picture on the left with the date on the bottom is the back and the picture on the right is the front side of the same bookmark which has been encased in plastic with my heat laminator. I cut the flowers out of watercolor paper with Sizzix Tim Holtz Wildflowers 2 Thinlits Die TH661808. On both front and back side I colored the background piece with Ultramarine Color Burst by Ken Oliver, As you can see on the photo on the right I used Fushia, Violet, Yellow Ochre, Lime Green & Sepia powders to “paint the die cut flowers. To the yellow flowers and green stems I added Metalic Saffron Color Burst Liquid Metals by Ken Oliver to add a little variation and shine. I painted them on the back side of the flowers as well. I inlaid the flowers back into the background to create a flat surface. To add stability I used Stickit by Ken Oliver to add a piece of heavy clear packaging plastic to the front side of the panel before I laminated the finished bookmark.
