(2019 c67) Sugar Pea Caffeine

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here’s another one!  Here is a link to  Paper Towel Transfer Techniques for using paper towels for  backgrounds.  I used the dried paper towel that I had previously used to “MOP UP” inks and powdered pigments from my workmat.  I  used Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium to glue it to cardstock and then cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight Etched Dies.   The sentiments and coffee cup were stamped with Caffeine Addict from Sugar Pea Designs ,  with Versamark Ink and  heat embossed with black WOW Embossing Powder .   I colored the cup with  Copics   and  colored the word strips by swiping  Spiced Marmalade  Distress Inks by Ranger .

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Using my Misti Stamping Tool   and Antique Linen Distress Inks by Ranger   I stamped the flowers from the colaboration of Simon Says Stamp Stamptember 2018 SSS101928 & Altenew Dainty Sprig.  The Stamptember releases are a limited time offer and are no longer available.  Next I stamped the layering flower elements with Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger.  Then I stamped over again with Versamark Ink and  heat embossed with gold WOW Embossing Powder .  I did not have a burgandy color embossing powder for the sentiment from  Painted  Greetings stamp set by AltENew, so I mixed red and garnet to make something similar to burgandy to match the cardbase.

For my CAS card I cut out a piece of watercolor paper with  Lawn Fawn Large Cross-Stitched Square Stackables.  I used the stampset:  Lawn Fawn Winter Skies .  Using my Misti Stamping Tool , I stamped with Versamark Ink  and  heat embossed with black WOW Embossing Powder .  On the inside I stamped the sentiment  and heat embossed with red.  I colored the bear with Black Soot Distress Inks by Ranger  .   Then I made a colorwash sky with Blueprint Sketch.

(2019 c61) HA Alcohol Ink, Foiling, Vellum Poinsettia

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

For the background:  Here I go again putting   Ranger Alcohol Inks  on Previously used PHOTO PAPER, This time I used  Chili Pepper, Lettuce and  Lemonaid.    See this Post to see the explanation of what I did.  There were still some areas that the alcohol ink was dense so I ran it through my hot laminator with Gold Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Foil.  The foil grabbed much bigger areas of the  background than I had expected so I added a vellum overlay.   I  again used  Jennifer McGuire’s video showing how to make Vellum Overlays.   First I stamped the veins portion of  CM280 Color Layering Poinsettia by HERO ARTS by using the Misti Stamping Tool and I stamped with Versamark Ink  and  heat embossed with gold WOW Embossing Powder .  Next I stamped one of the color layering stamps with Candied Apple Distress Inks by Ranger and then heat embossed with clear WOW Embossing Powder.  I partially stamped the sentiment (leaving  off Christmas) with HERO ARTS CM282 Home For The Holidays with Versamark Ink and  heat embossed with red WOW Embossing Powder .  I cut out CHRISTMAS with Hero Arts DI536  Cut-Out Christmas Fancy Die (B)  and glued it to vellum.

In the pictures above, you can see in the  black lined rectangle areas the big blotches of gold foil are quite muted under the vellum and actually look yellow under the vellum. That made me happy because the lacier foiling on the boarders can really shine!

(2019 c60) HA Shaker Ornament

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA On the right you can see another view of this Shaker card.  I stamped the houses, snowman and tree with HERO ARTS CM282 Home For The Holidays with Versamark Ink and  heat embossed with gold WOW Embossing Powder .  I colored the scene lightly by sponging  Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger .    The frame was cut with the discontinued Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments dies.

I used sparkly iridescent beads for the shaker elements.

For the back I stamped the sentiment & heat embossed with gold on glitter paper & added a few jewels. Here are 2 views of the back, my lighting caused them to look different colors:

(2019 c58) HA Poinsettia Transparency.jpg

I stamped the veins of the CM280 Color Layering Poinsettia by HERO ARTS with Versamark Ink   and heat embossed with a Gold  Ranger Embossing Powder onto a piece of 3M Transparency Film (which does well with heat embossing).   Then I colored the petal shapes with red Copics on the back side. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA As you see below I used my   Misti Stamping Tool  to stamp the sentiment  from  HERO ARTS Polar Greetings,  ( I slid a piece of white paper behind the transparency so the poinsettia would show up)   I created the frame with Spellbinders 2012 Heirloom Ornaments dies.

See below for  a closeup also to show how I used my Scor-Buddy  Scoring Board to create a double line frame.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

(2019 c57) MFT & LF Watercolor Beach.jpg

I watercolored the background on water color paper using Distress Inks by Ranger  .  I then made my own stencil by cutting the My Favorite Things Die-Namics  Mesmerizing Mandalas  from Transparency film and sponged a darker yellow in the center to represent the rising sun and it’s reflection across the water and beach.  I then sponged with Versamark Ink   and heat embossed with a sparkly  Ranger Embossing Powder . The sentiment is from My Favorite Things: Geometric Greenery.  The balloons are vellum cut with MFT-1360 Bundle of Balloons.    The Elephant, umbrella  and bird are from Lawn Fawn – Elphie Selfie & coordinating diesThe palm trees are from Lawn Fawn – Flamingo Together & coordinating dies.
