(2019 c14) Steampunk Valentine

I love my new Tim Holtz Mechanics 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder 662715.  I spritzed my paper with water then inked one side of folder with Versamark Ink   and embossed with my Sizzix Big Shot.  Then I heat embossed with Carnelian Stampendous Pearluster Embossing Powder. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA The metal peaces are from Tim Holtz Ideaology line The foam heart was cut with TONIC STUDIOS Traditional Heart Die Set 1459e . As you can see in the photos below it was covred with a coffee filter that was colored with Ken Oliver Color Burst (WatercolorPigment Powder)OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI used rubber gloves and applied the glaze with my fingers & folded around the edges.

Sentiment on the inside seen in photo on the right  is from Unity Stamps: Everything Love {January 2014 Sentiment Kit}.

An awesome steampunk design. I never have any luck with it myself but I admire those who do.

  2. I love it, too. Your coffee filter heart is spectacular. Even your shinny layer adds to the charm of this design so much.

  3. Wow, Lagene! I love your mixed media card! I love it when you get your steampunk on! I enjoyed reading your process, too, and had a giggle at the gloves. I never wear gloves when I create, but I really should. My hands are permanently inked, I think! Sending hugs!

    • Sara, I rarely wear gloves either (after all I am known as “InkyLageney), but since I was smearing glazing/glue/embossing liquid I decided to avoid sticking my fingers together or sticking to everything I touched before I could wash them.Ha Ha

  4. This turned out stunning! But all of the cards you posted in the last week or so are gorgeous! Great job thanks for sharing.

  5. Wonderful card! The colours and textures look fabulous.
