(2019 c8) Heart Shaped Shaker Card
Heart shaped shaker card made with: New Die Set TONIC STUDIOS Traditional Heart Die Set 1459e ; HERO ARTS Love Stamp and Cut DC175 (Happy Vallentine Day sentiment on the inside); LAWN FAWN Happy Happy Happy (Wishing You A); Ranger Alcohol Inks to color the background; Tulle with a silver swirl design for the shaker window. The sentiments were ultimately stamped with HERO ARTS Dye Ink Pad India Ink Black AF248 (As you can see on the photo above to the right, I had a big BOO BOO: I first tried to stamp the sentiment and HEAT EMBOSS on the REPURPOSED HP Photo Paper (I had already printed a picture that I didn’t like on the front side so I applied the alcohol ink to the white back side) that I had applied Ranger Alcohol Inks to. I was quickly reminded that you just can’t apply too much heat to these papers of else they will crack and bubble!
So now I had to restamp the sentiment and since I didn’t have a big enough piece of the same photo paper I cut a smaller heart and inserted it into yet another lighter/smoother blended alcohol inked photo paper for the frame to cover the first BOO BOO. You e can see on the picture above How I created the 2 clear hinges (cut from re-purposed plastic packaging) I covered the entire heart with strong Score Tape and covered up the BOO BOO. Jennifer McGuire’s UTUBE video “Hinged Diecut Greetings” shows how to create the clear hinges for folding elements, even shaped elements!
Here is a photo on the left above of the card base plus the fix for the BOO BOO and the top of the shaker heart that will cover the top SHAKER element. The photo on the right above is the inside with the hinged shaker flipped up.
