This is another NEW TECHNIQUE for me: . I learned about this fun Alcohol Ink Emboss Resist Technique at Jennifer McGuire’s Blog. As you can see on the photo to the right, I used watercolor paper and for the background I first stamped Repeating Flowers by Hero Arts with regular white cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white EP. Then I used Ranger Alcohol Inks to color the background.
For the bird I stamped with Hero Arts: CL866 Color Layering Bird and Branch using Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger .
I heat embossed the bird with clear embossing powder and then colored the background with Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger and cut it out with Spellbinders 2012 Snowflake Pendant die, which is an old set but it can still be found on Ebay & Amazon.

The sentiment was cut from a very chunky white glitter paper with Tim Holtz Alterations Die set called Holiday Words Script by Sizzix . The sentiment on the inside is from CS213 Grateful from My Favorite Things. It was colored like the background with alcohol inks.
