(2018 c22) Encouragement, Ellen Hutson & Hero Arts

Here’s more fun playing with my homemade hearts background stencil that was cut into watercolor paper. Used Spellbinders Media MiXage One Heart and  Hero Arts Valentine and three Hearts fancy dies .  You can see the beginning process on the previous post HEREOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So on today’s card after creating the side spray of Faber Castell Whipped Spackel  hearts from Spellbinders Media MiXage One Heart and  Hero Arts Valentine and three Hearts fancy dies

(I had made a heavy watercolor paper background that I could use as a stencil) I pressed gold embossing powder into the spackled hearts and when almost dry I heat embossed which caused the hearts to bubble, I love this look.  the dry embossed hello outline just above the die cut HELLO.

In the picture above you can also see the HELLO die from Ellen Hutson was first impressed into my background, and the background was  colored by smushing  Distress Inks by Ranger  on my craft mat then spritzed with water and mopping up the colors (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Dried marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, & Mustard Seed).  I cut out the HELLO die from Ellen Hutson then colored with Orange Ken Oliver Color Burst (Watercolor Pigment Powder)  mixed with a tiny bit of water. Then I  lightly swiped Versamark Ink over it & heat embossed with Gold WOW Embossing Powder .  I used a stiff brush to apply Versamark  randomly over the background & heat embossed with Gold EP.   I stamped the sentiment from  Mondo Hydrangea from Essentials by Ellen Hutson .

Gratitude and Encouragement are my words for 2018.  I am grateful for friends and family and love making cards that encourage.  I love how God orchistrates  our encounters:  This morning I  had to have a blood draw and I got to chat with a  lady I worked with before I retired – I discovered she was going through a huge loss and  I “just happened” {no I don’t believe that for a moment!} to have the card I posted yesterday with me to show to my fellow crafter at our water aerobics class.  So after class, I dropped back by the lab and gave the card to my grieving friend.  God is so good!  I decided I’d better make another, with a color scheme that could go for a guy this time.
