(2018 c14) Ellen Hutson, Color Burst, Reverse Die Impress Inspired by Jennifer McGuire

Gratitude and Encouragement are my words for 2018.  I am grateful for friends and family and here is an encouraging card.

Once again I had so much fun following Jennifer McGuire’s Reverse Die Impression tutorial for this card. You can see all my wordy details on the previous post: HERE

I First did a color wash with Violet Ken Oliver Color Burst (Watercolor Pigment Powder)  Then I stamped the small flowers from Mondo Hydrangea from Essentials by Ellen Hutson with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Gold WOW Embossing Powder .  As you can see on the left, on each individual flower I wet it first with water inside the raised embossing and added the Violet Color Burst powder by gently tapping the bottle tip over the wet flower, then in the second px I blended with a wet paint brush.   The large flower was stamped on watercolor paper, heat embossed and spritzed the entire piece with water and then sprinkled Violet Color Burst powder all over the paper and watched the magic happen. As you can see on the right I also cut out a piece of purple fun foam to pop up the hydrangea.  CELEBRATE from Little B called Handwritten was cut from gold foil paper from DCWV Metalic Stack from Joann Craft Store. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe dry embossing with the little flower dies (following Jennifer McGuire’s Reverse Die Impression tutorial)  is hard to see on the front of the card, but can easily be felt.  Here is a picture on the right that shows what the back looks like.
