(2018 c12) MFT Die Impress, Distress Oxide Ink
I had so much fun following Jennifer McGuire’s Reverse Die Impression tutorial for this card. Using Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger I started by inking the back of My Favorite Things Die-Namics Mesmerizing Mandalas. I used the Embossing Mat and placed the inked flat side of the die down on white cardstock, on top I placed colored cardstock then the top pressure plate. This debossed the white sheet and transfered color and also cut the top purple cardstock as you can see on the picture on the right. For the fainter one I then placed the die on another white cardstock without re-inking and used the same cutting procedure and got a fainter colored impression and cut the green one. (It impressed into the paper and you have to keep the colored cardstock in the die and go back and place back on the cutting sandwich to actually cut through it.) Next I painted the little white areas that didn’t receive ink with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I fussy cut a mask and placed over the mandalla and sponged with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped the sentiment with My Favorite Things Die-Namics Mesmerizing Mandalas.
