DETAILS FOR TAG:
I followed the 2 different tag instructions in Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 Technique Remix challenge for March.
The picture at the right shows the progression: The central multicolored piece started with bookprint being applied to cardstock with Multi Medium Matt by Art Deco. Then another piece of white cardstock was cut multiple times with the Spellbinders’ Foliage Two dies. Gesso was applied on top.. Next I used Portfolio Series Water Soluble Oil Pastels to color the areas that would show through the butterfly holes. The top cardboard layer was distressed (peeled in places), Inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Frayed Burlap and then sprayed with my own spray mixture of Stampin Up Reinkers:Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry added to water. Also with Silver Fog Smooch Spritz. For the cardboard, the central large butterfly was cut with Tim Holtz Butterfly duo (only cutting the upper smallest of the two) Then for the upper left and lower right butterflies were cut with Fiskar’s Fancy Flier punch. (I find the punch works better for this thick cardboard to prevent squishing it) Applied Glue stick to a few spots around edges and applied gold ICraft Deco Foil. Finished off with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Word Band. It says CAPTURE LIFE’S MOMENTS.
