(2015 c59) Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 – Sept

I followed most of Tim Holtz’s instructions for my version of September’s 12 Tags of 2015.THoltzjanuarytag Click the logo to see Tim’s instructions. I took a few liberties:  Instead of alcohol inks I used watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress Inks and smooshed on my craft mat (I will do another & use alcohol inks next time).  Instead of “highlighting” the clear embossed areas, I used Weathered Wood Distress Ink and sponged over the embossed areas and then buffed off to show the bright colors underneath the embossing. (For the embossing I used Tim Holtz Splatters stencil).  I used yellow vellum for the metal tag backing instead of paper. I used clear packaging plastic instead of Frosted and carefully heated the umbrella portion and gave it a curved surface, I attached it slightly offset so that the stamping on the tag would look like a shadow of the man. Stamped with Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Clear Purely Random Stamp set.
