(2015 c47) Faux Metalic Paper and Heat Embossed Sentiment

Today’s card once again used the technique found at Jennifer McGuire demonstrated a method called Faux Textured Metal Paper.

I used the Stripe Background embossing folder found at Classy Cards N Such to emboss the striped background after using Tim Holtz Spiced Marmelade to color the background and then applied Perfect Pearls (Perfect Gold).  I used the same technique for the top embossed piece that was colored with Tim Hlltz Distress Inks:  Cracked Pistaschio, Abandoned Coral, Shaded Lilac and Fossilized Amber, Then went over with Bronze Perfect Pearls powder to achieve the metal look. The colors make me think of citrus and sherbet.  Next I embossed with Retro Circles by Sizzix.  Next I heat embossed the sentiment with a stamp from Scripture Collection 3 found at Our Daily Bread Designs
