(2014 c22) ODBD Pillow Top Tutorial

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFor today’s card I stamped the focal image on watercolor paper and heat embossed with gold EP and painted the butterflies with Pearlescent water colors by Artist’s Loft found at Michaels. . OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Then I cut out using Wavy Rectangles by Spellbinders.(Can’t find them on Spellbinders shop any longer, but still at Wal Mart.)   I then used the next smaller die and “imbossed” only inside the cut out piece.  Then I painted the outside boarder that was formed with Pearlescent water colors by Artist’s Loft found at Michaels.   Next I cut 3 pieces of sticky backed foam with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th smallest dies and adhered the largest to the back of the water color paper and the next smaller foam on top & ending with the smallest.

I used Ailene’s Tacky glue on the foam and on the waves of the paper to glue to the front of the card.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA  This created a “PILLOW” effect for the focal image as you can see on the image on the left.
