OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAToday’s card has a Wax Resist background using Cuttlebug embossing folder called Wicker Weave and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink “Spun Sugar”  For my focal point I used a wooden cross from Michaels as a stencil to spray the cross on water color paper.    Here is how I did it:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFirst I took a cereal box and drew around the wooden cross and cut it out with an exacto knife.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Then I placed the cut out stencil over the watercolor paper & sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist/  Saphire Blue.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Next I placed the wooden cross over the cut out and sprayed again with blue, this darkened the cutouts of the cross. Next i placed the wooden cross over the blue and sprayed with a light pink spray made with H2O acrylic paint and a tiny part of cranberry Glimmer Mist.  Amazingly this just made the center of the cross a deeper blue 🙂  I cut out my focal image with Nesting Frame 1 by Lifestyle Crafts/Quick Kutz.
