(2013 c29) MFP Tropical Scene

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAToday’s card is made with stamps from 3 stamp sets found at Mark’s Finest Papers A Heinrich Co. called: Mountain Selections, Tree Greetings and You Light Up Your Life.  I first stamped the palm trees and mountains and colored with copics markers. Then I covered the images with a clear Versamark pen and heat embossed with clear EP.  Then I tore papers for masks for the beaches and waves and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress inks Tumbled Glass and Broken China for the ocean waves  and Frayed Burlap and Scattered Straw for the beaches.  The sky is a mixture of Dusty Concord, Victorian Velvet, spun Sugar.  This technique of framing is called Tripple Framing or Tripple Stamping.  I matted with 3 different colors of papers from DCWV Shimmers Stack.

What a cool background. I really like the different layers, but especially like how the background looks like the sky is watercolored.
